Holli has created a very high end, very simple approach to packaging it's content which I think would work really well with baking products too. They have produced very simple sticker like packaging on metal cylinder, heavy duty resealable boxes and sacks. The branding created works across a range of scales and products which is something I will need to consider.

DC - Packaging baking goods
Source: http://www.behance.net/gallery/The-Bake-Sale-Company/7544971
Taking a very 'Country kitchen' approach to the packaging design. Keeping things very simple, and ergonomically friendly, and simple - the packaging looks like what it is and contains, they havent tried any tricks in relation to format and shape. The design of the type and sleeves are child like in the sense of using pastel colours, and sans serif typeface.

A different approach to baking goods and untensils, 'Bake sale' have made a selction of products which reflect country kitchen alongside the trade of painting, using paint pots to package ingredients. The range is something I should consider, its extensive but works well.

DC - Useful packaging

I came across 'In good health' Muesli packaging when trying to categorise packaging, realising this packaging design was more than for aesthetic purpose, which is initially seemed with the heavy amount of illustrative content. The tube its self is reusable, which I really like, but also the lid acts as a way of measuring - one lid full acts as one serving, which I think is a brilliant idea - the designer has thought about the overall consumer purchase and usability rather than just what it looks like, which I admire.

DC - Brief 2 - Sample Coffee Packaging
http://www.behance.net/gallery/Noir/284507
'The packaging is inspired by the the coffee makers formal qualities of transparency and reflection. It uses only glossy and matte paper to create a fully functional tryptich experience for the buyer, reminiscient of the quazi-spiritual experience of their favorite morning drink.'
I admire the crafting and thought process behind this piece of packaging design, the designer has had to think about the workability, ergnomic qualities and folding / closing processes. This piece of designs works well due to its simplicity and deliverance.
The purpose of the packaging was to individually package three products, but to make it work as a set. This has been achieved due to the different pockets within the packaging - once opened the products are clearly defined individually, but still apparent that they work together as a consumption material.
The designer stated the thought process of stock was considered - it was inspired by 'The coffee makers formal qualities of transparency and reflection' thus it's use of glossy stock.
